Trauma-Informed Speech-Language Pathology

Increasing numbers of linguistically diverse children arrive from the border after the trauma of having been separated from their families. What are the relevant considerations for clinicians working with this population of children?

Come learn about the Bilingual English-Spanish Assessment (BESA) on Saturday, April 13th in Hagerty Hall, Room 180 from 9:00am to 12:00pm!

Prof. Alisa Baron, PhD, CCC-SLP, will be running a workshop on how to use this tool for identifying language problems in bilingual English-Spanish-speaking children.

Alisa is quick to point out that the English part of the test can be used for those who want to test the English of bilingual children, but who do NOT speak Spanish!!

The workshop will take place from 9:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, April 13th in Hagerty Hall, Room 180.
