Prospective Graduate Students:
Dr. Brown is looking to recruit new students in this application cycle (to begin in 2026). If you think you are a strong fit for the lab or the department more generally, we encourage you to apply!
Generally, Dr. Brown is looking for people interested in understanding the psychology of societal problems and the potential solutions. Her primary interest is in the study of inequality and inequity.
Dr. Brown tries not to engage with applicants outside of the formal application process in an effort to keep things fair, so if she does not respond, please don’t take it personally.
See here for information on our social psychology PhD program at OSU and here for information on the application process. If you decide to apply to OSU and you are preparing your materials, please make sure your intention to join Dr. Brown’s lab is clear.
Research Assistant Opportunities:
Research assistant opportunities include volunteer work, independent study (for course credit), honors research, and summer research opportunities. We are interested students who demonstrate conscientiousness, commitment, a willingness to learn, and an interest in research.
If you would like to be considered for a Research Assistant position, please email the lab at spalab.osu@gmail.com.
