Millions and Millions of soybeans are produced every year all over the world, so why and how do we use them? There are many different uses for soybeans in today’s world. A lot of the soybeans that are being grown are used for human food, animal food, fuels, adhesives, candles, and many other various items. The main ingredient that is extracted from the soybean is the oil. The oil from soybeans are the main objective for companies like Cargill and ADM to process. These companies extract the oil for uses in food for humans, these oils are mainly used for cooking and other edible uses.

After the oil is removed after processing, the leftovers are usually used for animal feed. Cattle, poultry, swine, and many other farm animals can eat the fibers that are left after the oil processing. A majority of these fibers are used for poultry and another large amount is mainly used for swine farms.

Biodiesel is the main fuel that can be produced from soybean oil. There is many different processes that go into producing biodiesel from soybeans but it is a very popular use for soybeans.

There are many other uses for soybeans oils, a couple being candles, wood adhesives, crayons, lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and even some foams. Soybeans are being fully taken advantage of and they might as well be seeing that so many are being produced.
