2020-2021 Academic Year
- Creation of a handbook and articulation placement expectations
- Development of a social media policy and an support of the online community for transfer students during COVID
- Created resource guides for all campuses and their surrounding communities
- Development of an intake tool with embedded distress acuity measure to provides instant recommendations for resources
- Conduct academic success outreach and meetings with over 100 students on academic probation
- Present information related to the impact of COVID on students and youth during Stress and Resilience in Education week
- Support of students who were required to isolate or quarantine and missed classes, or who were ill and unable to attend classes
- Proactive outreach to transfer and campus change students
2021-2022 Academic Year
- Advocate for student centered changes to Academic Probation letters
- Proactive outreach to over 125 students with minoritized identities who were on academic probation
- Provided resources to over 350 students who had an identified need for extra support
- Wellness and mental health presentation to first generation college students in their first semester
- Reviewed academic policy document to suggest student friendly language
- Worked with the ACES food pantry to identify ways to increase awareness and utilization of the resource
2022-2023 Academic Year (on-going)
- Review of NACADA journal articles for implementation discussions
- Proactive outreach to:
- Over 250 High Support Priority transfer students in their first semester
- Over 150 First generation college students in their first semester without additional program support
- Over 75 Students on academic probation without additional program support
- Regional campus students in an academic recovery program
- Weekly communication campaign for over 800 regional campus students whose advisors have limited appointment availability resulting in 30%-47% student engagement with outreach
- Mentoring for campus change students
- Development of an affordable housing and utility assistance presentation
- Presented a poster session to the Global Advising Community about novel win-win-win partnerships on campus using SOARS as a case study and highlighting student retention
