Raion Black-Hall
Raion Black-Hall is a graduate of the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, graduating with a BA in Psychology, and is currently a senior at The Ohio State University for a BS in Social Work.
My interest in the SOARS program is rooted in my experience as a student-athlete and in understanding the importance of assistance and guidance in completing a degree. Since attending Ohio State, being a part of the university’s openness to assist others with readily available resources and help that extends beyond the classroom, aligned with a motto I live by, “what you want, you must give it away first”. Attending Ohio State is a dream I have carried since watching football with my dad at 6 in the morning in Hawai’i, and I plan to leave an impact in the same way being a Buckeye has impacted my life.

Charlie Kittleson
Charlie Kittleson is a fourth-year bachelor’s level Social Work student planning to get their MSW after graduation. At SOARS I hope to help students who experience difficulty adjusting to university life and functioning while things in their lives change. Outside of school, I play guitar and spend most of my free time recording other musician’s songs.

I have worked at Ohio State in academic advising since 2011. My background is in community mental health and I am a licensed clinical counselor. One of my passions has been helping people through transitions to become the people they want to be. This program has been a work in progress for several years, and I am very excited to see it come to fruition.
