Artifact 1

This is a picture I took in my photography class at Ohio State for a project. It is of a flower in front of one of the dorms and I liked it because the background is blurred with a focus on the flower. I selected this artifact because I wanted to chose a picture from my photography class since that is one of my most creative classes and this is one of my favorite pictures I have taken. From this project, I learned how to shoot manually with my camera and how to adjust the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO to fix the lighting and focus. This class has been a lot of fun because I have been able to learn how to use my camera properly. Photography has become one of my favorite hobbies and I will continue to do it beyond the classroom.

About Me

Hi, I’m McKenzie Snyder and I am from Mason, Ohio. I plan on majoring in Finance and Information Systems. As of now, I am hoping to get involved in a business fraternity, a sorority, Cru, and am in Mount Leadership Society Scholars Program. In high school, I ran track and played soccer and was involved in Spanish National Honor Society and National Honor Society. I was also Vice President of Finance at Comet Savings & Loan – Mason’s school bank sponsored by Fifth Third. I created and balanced our financial documents that account for our $200,000 deposits on hand and oversaw four employees. I hope to study abroad while in college as I pursue a minor in Spanish. As of now, I hope to work in hospital administration once I graduate.
