Artifacts

An artifact from my experience is my JT Barrett jersey that I wore to the game.  When I accepted my offer to come to The Ohio State University, my parents bought me the jersey.  Being from Cincinnati I grew a die hard fan of the buckeyes, but I never owned a jersey until then.  I was so ecstatic to get it I immediately through it on and wore it all day.  Right when I got it I knew the perfect use for it.  Ohio State football games.  the first couple of weeks before the Bowling Green game I saw that jersey everyday hanging in my closet patiently waiting to be worn on a victorious Saturday.  Once the first game came around I woke up, showered and I knew exactly what I was going to wear.  I threw on the jersey and I knew it was going to be a great day.  Walking around the dorm I was not the only one with the idea of wearing a jersey. It seemed like everyone I ran into had some type of Ohio State jersey on.  Once I got int the stadium it was just a wave of scarlet throughout the stadium.  It was a magical feeling to look around be apart of something so big.  Then the football team ran out in the classic scarlet home jerseys, and looking at them wearing the same jersey I was, I knew Ohio state is where I belong.  That jersey represented more than just one play, it symbolizes the Ohio State team.  It says I go to Ohio State and I could not be prouder to say so.
