Study Break with the Ohio State Women’s Basketball Team

Research shows that taking purposeful breaks from studying to refresh your brain and body increases your energy, productivity and ability to focus! The Ohio State women’s basketball team is hosting an Ohio State Colleges “Study Break” at their game on Tuesday, December 5 vs. Ohio University. All students get in FREE by entering through the Schottenstein Center’s Southwest Nuthouse entrance. All you need to do is show your BuckID. Free refreshments and snacks will be provided for all students who attend!

Optometry Admissions Visit Day

Know someone who’s considering a career in optometry? All are welcome!

The Ohio State University College of Optometry offers you a special opportunity to explore careers in optometry, tour our clinical facilities, learn more about the admissions process, and meet with college faculty, students, and administrators at our Fall Visit Day on Saturday, December 2. We encourage high school and college students, as well as any academic and career counselors to attend this event.

It may be October, but midterms season doesn’t have to be spooky. Struggling with focus, motivation, and time management as you prepare for your exams? Free COVID Test Kits

Four free COVID-19 rapid tests can be ordered through the federal government’s COVID.gov website. The tests will be delivered directly to you. You can also place an order via the telephone at 1-800-232-0233 (TTY 1-888-720-7489). More information about this government program is available on the COVID.gov FAQ page. Additional information about COVID testing is available on Ohio State’s Safe and Healthy Buckeyes website . The government COVID site also includes information about free testing options and local retailers where testing is available as well as general information about COVID.

Sky Happiness Retreat

SKY Happiness Retreat is a high-impact 16-hour total well-being training offered to thousands of university students, faculty, and staff across the country. The SKY Happiness Retreat introduces SKY Meditation, an evidence-based meditation practice integrated with breath work that can significantly increase one’s well-being and calmness, and significantly reduces anxiety and stress markers.

The course features interactive group processes, experiential learning, emotional intelligence training, breathwork, yoga, and evidence-based meditation. It’s one of the coolest places to connect with yourself, make new friends, and most importantly, have fun!
