About

We are researchers working in the Department of Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University.  We are professionally trained and experienced in working with venomous snakes and follow protocols that have been approved by OSU’s Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee to ensure the safety of both the animals and people.  Furthermore, we are permitted by the Ohio Division of Wildlife and the US Fish and Wildlife Service.  Much of OSU’s Massasauga research is made possible thanks to the support of the Ohio Division of Wildlife, through the Ohio Biodiversity Conservation Partnership.
