Announcing the 2022 Best Paper Award and Honorable Mentions

>> Congratulations to Anthony Dolph for successfully defending his master’s thesis!

Last week, Anthony successfully defended his master’s thesis titled, “Characterization of the delta-E effect in Metglas with application to stiffness tunable diaphragm pumps” in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Anthony joined SMSL in September 2021. We wish Anthony all the best in his new career path.

Well done, Anthony!

>> Congratulations Gowtham!

Gowtham Venkatraman’s paper was selected as Editor’s Choice Article in MDPI Crystals, as featured on Twitter. Gowtham is a recent PhD graduate and former member of the Smart Materials and Structures Lab.

“Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world. Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.”
