This year I have taken a big leap in my steps towards achieving my career goals. I have mentioned it earlier, but my major is Finance and I am also minoring in Music, Media, and Enterprise. My end goal is to be able to work in the business side of the music industry, hopefully in Nashville. I am very passionate about music, particularly with country music. This past semester, I also had the opportunity to attend Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour as well with some of my Mount Scholars from from OSU! This year I have started my classes for my minor by taking both my Music Enterprise class as well as my Music Production and Reception course. These classes have taught me key lessons on how to apply my degree from Fisher back to my interest in the music industry. I am also a member of the Music Industry Club here at Ohio State. In this organization, I get the opportunity to network with music professionals and learn from those already working in this business. My biggest mentor in this process has been my older brother. While he is not in the music business, he is the one I always go to for support and advice in working towards my goals. He knows how much this industry means something to me and is always there to support me. I have gotten to meet a lot of new people in this industry so far and I cannot wait to continue to learn more along the way
