This semester I decided to take on another extracurricular during my time at Ohio State. This Fall, I decided to rush a fraternity and I am now a brother in Sigma Phi Epsilon OH Gamma. I decided to take this step to grow both socially as well as professionally. Sigma Phi Epsilon stands on the fact that it is unique from other fraternities. They even state in their founding that “This fraternity will be different”. Sigma Phi Epsilon works to help brothers achieve a sound mind and a sound body during their time and even removes the typical pledge process of a fraternity. By working on these goals and having no pledge process, brothers can work to support each other so that they can fit the image of being a balanced man. In my short time of being in the fraternity, I have already experienced this by setting personal goals as well as attending resume workshops, guest speakers, and off campus trips. Being a brother in Sigma Phi Epsilon allows for endless opportunities to develop both professionally and socially. I cannot wait to see where this organization will take me over time as I have seen so much growth in such a short span of time!
