Hi, my name is Josh Smith and I am a first-year student at The Ohio State University majoring in Finance with a minor in Music, Media, and Enterprise. I am from Mason, Ohio outside of Cincinnati and I attended William Mason High School. At WMHS I was involved in marching band and played trombone. I was also a member of a student organization called SIBS (Students Involving and Befriending Students) where we participated in service events and mentored a group of freshmen throughout their first year of high school to make that transition from middle school to high school as smooth as possible.
At Ohio State, I am a member of the Mount Leadership Society Scholars program. I am also involved with some other student organizations at Ohio State such as TPEG (Theme Park Engineering Group), MIC (Music Industry Club), and ABS (The Association for the Business of Sports). Down the road, I would love to be involved in a business fraternity! I have a huge passion for everything in the entertainment industry whether that be music, amusement parks, film/TV, or sports. After Ohio State, I would love to work in this industry with my top choice being focused on music. I would love to work in music management for either a record label, talent agency, or even an artist/group!
