Artifacts Project: playlist of 8-10 songs whit a brief description of why I choose it/what the significance is to me.
- Human by Christina Perri – For a very long time, I have related to this song, It has become one of my favorites. I love this song because it talks about how you can do things for someone else and be anything that they want, but in the end she is only human, and can get hurt. I struggle with this a lot, I want everything to be easy for everyone and I want people to be happy and I forget to look after myself first a lot, so this song makes me think of how my life is. I am only human.

- I Lived by OneRepublic – I stumbled upon this song about a month before my high school graduation. I quickly adopted it as my theme song. The lyrics of this song are so strong and motivational. I want to be able to say that at the end on my life I did everything that I could have. It speaks such a great message.

- Afterlife by Ingrid Michaelson – Again another really uplifting song, it just talks about how we can face the world and how in the end everything will turn out alright. It’s about seizing the opportunity in the moment and feeling great about yourself.

- Half a Heart by One Direction – I have recently gotten dumped, and it sucks, I feel like I am half of myself. This song is about being without your other half, and it completely describes how I feel. It helps to hear it articulated in a way that I can’t.

- Stitches by Shawn Mendes – It sort of follows the same lines of the previous song. The thing about this song is that it helps to uplift rather than helping to feel. It tells how without your love you need something else to heal.

- Hold on to Me by Mayday Parade – I was introduced to this song by a friend, in a hard time in my life and it really spoke to me. I love the message and I generally enjoy the artist as well.

- Teenagers by My Chemical Romance – I actually played this song in marching band my senior year of high school. It was kind of the first taste of music that I had, well other than silly little boy bands that I had been listening to.

- Don’t Go Saying by Tom Law – I found this song when I was thirteen, I’ve been in love with it ever since. When I first found this song I couldn’t help but find myself longing for a relationship, but I didn’t really understand fully the message it conveyed until I got dumped by my first boyfriend junior year of high school. I still love this song along with the others that Tom has written. I love small singer/songwriter pieces that not a lot of people are familiar with.

- After Ever After by Jon Cozart – I’m a huge Disney nerd and this song is literally perfection. I love the quirky nature of all of Jon’s music.

- Wonderland by Jason Munday and Alex Carpenter – Again a little known song by a not so well known artist. This song is also a tribute to my love of Disney as it is the story of Alice in Wonderland.
