Starting fall semester of freshman year, my goals were to stay on top of my studies, get involved, and stay as organized as possible. One of my first efforts at getting involved was rushing Delta Sigma Pi, a professional fraternity. I succeeded in being 1 out of 22 people who received a bid and were invited to pledge this past semester. This experience has allowed me to sufficiently grow professionally, socially, and academically in a short amount of time. It was required that we met with 65 members of the chapter over the course of 8 weeks. With that number seeming so overwhelming at first, I accepted the challenge and stayed on top of my work. Every Sunday I planned out my week, some weeks were even planned hour by hour, and I lived by my planner; with this intense planning, my time management and organization skills have improved greatly. I still use this planner everyday with the color-coded markers to keep my life organized which allows me be able to enjoy myself and the organizations that I am lucky enough to be involved in!
