Field Studies: Arizona and Kuwait

Our research group uses a variety of instruments to measure different components of the energy and water balances. These include:

  • Eddy Covariance for Turbulent Fluxes (Latent and Sensible Heat)
  • Ground Heat Flux Plates
  • RainĀ Gauges
  • Soil Moisture Probes (TDR)
  • Four Component Radiometers (Long and Shortwave Radiation)
  • Sap Flow Collars (Movement of Water Within Vegetation)
  • Tension Infiltrometers
