Our research philosophy is to observe and measure the interaction of vegetation and hydrology in the field at the point or plant scale, reproduce and test the extent of these interactions in a controlled greenhouse environment, and then represent the observed soil – vegetation – climate interactions within a numerical framework. This process allows us to improve the manner in which models represent the interaction between soil – vegetation – climate and simulate this interaction over large areas under different future scenarios.
