ICE Final Project

For my ICE scholars class, our final project consisted of starting up a new business with a group. We were asked to come up with an idea, pitch it to the class, get customer validation, and then present our idea to a panel of judges. My group came up with the idea of a 3D printing shop, where customers could go in and print whatever they would like. When we surveyed people asking them if they liked the idea, the result was not what we expected. Many said they were not interested in the idea, partly due to the fact that they did not really understand what 3D printing involves. Through the process of starting the business we had to make Business Model Canvases, which is basically a condensed version of a business report. It outlined where we wanted to take our business as well as how we were going to move past the new information learned from customer validation. The following PDF is our team’s final Business Model Canvas.

About Me

Hi my name is Victoria Sipe! I am currently a first year Electrical Engineering student at OSU. I am in the Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship scholar program. I am from New Jersey, but have been a Buckeye my whole life because my grandfather went here. I am a big environmentalist, as I was the president of my high school’s Environmental Club. I also enjoy listening to music, reading, and watching Netflix. I chose ICE scholars because I thought it would be a great way to help improve my creativity as well as learn more business practices that I may not get being just an engineering major.  I am excited for a great year at OSU! Go Bucks!
