In writing the important points in the previous article, I have given some of my own thoughts, but I think it is important to write down my own thoughts in the new section. I am Chinese, but I studied in the United States. This gives me a perspective of observing the two countries. I will write down objectively what I think, and the differences between the two countries and what I hope to see as the development directions of the two countries.
China is an ancient country with a history much longer than the United States. The archaeological history is about 4,000 years old, while the historical records 5,000 years old. Therefore, this land has a very strong historical atmosphere and historical heritage. I think this has a great impact on China because when we were children, we always learned poems from 2000 years ago when we were learning Chinese, and the history we learned Many of them are praising people and events about 2000 years ago. I think this has given China’s new generation something to think about and yearn for, it has also given rise to a trend of thought that is different from the United States. In addition, China’s political system is also very special. Politically it is communist, but economically may be capitalist. This makes Chinese society full of particularities.
I think the United States is also a beautiful country. It has inherited the heritage of Europe and created today’s prosperous culture. I saw the NBA, NFL, Hollywood, various top universities, and the technology of Silicon Valley. At the same time, I think the United States is also a very diverse country, which is very different from China. Because of its long culture, China is relatively less diverse. People in the United States come from all over the world, and different cultures communicate here, which makes the United States have top universities and many opportunities.
Looking at both countries from the perspective of an average student, I think they are both beautiful and have achieved amazing things in the world. I have seen the conflict of interests between China and the United States and the differences in thinking. However, this society and even the world can accommodate these differences and resolve disputes of interests through negotiation. I believe that Sino-US relations are not just a diplomatic game or cooperation. If Sino-US relations improve, it will benefit countries and societies around the world. Think about when the economy is prosperous, everyone who works diligently has the opportunity to create a happy life, but behind the lack of economic prosperity and diplomatic tension are how many personal careers failed and how many families have lost their financial resources. The development of many industries has also stagnated. Think about it, if Tesla didn’t have the Gigafactory in Shanghai, China, and Apple wouldn’t have the Chinese market, then I believe Tesla wouldn’t be able to create the imaginative pickup trucks it is today, and Apple wouldn’t be able to design more high-end chips. As well as China, without Apple or Tesla, the Chinese people will not be able to enjoy new energy electric cars and high-end and convenient Apple products. Considering that China’s younger generation now regards Apple’s designs as beautiful and respects Apple, Sino-US cooperation is definitely important.
Ultimately, I hope that there can be some friction between China and the United States in the future, but we must maintain restraint. I hope that American culture can flourish and China can also develop, and both can contribute to the world and do things that are meaningful to mankind and even society all around the world.
