Devasena was awarded JRF and SRF in life sciences by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Fellowship Scheme in India. She had a brief stint in Syngene International, Bangalore, India, as a research investigator. She is interested in studying CLICs and their role in cardiac function and tumorigenesis. In addition to research, Devasena spends her time in stencil art, reading, and music.
