Artifacts

This is a picture of a small jewelry box I received when in Croatia. I value this artifact because it reminds me of my Croatian heritage. Both of my parents came to America as children and started a life here, yet they still remember their lives in Croatia and have told me much about it. The artifact also reminds me of my family in Croatia and how I miss them dearly.

This is a picture of my bike. Before coming to Ohio State I never considered myself a “biker” because I enjoyed running more. However, since coming here I have become an avid biker and now I bike everywhere I go. My bike is something I value because on days I may not have the time to run, I can still bike to de-stress. I always have a better outlook on everything in my life after biking, therefore I truly value my bike.

About Me

IMG_8296 (2)

Hello! I am Katarina Sikiric and I am a first year biomedical engineering student at Ohio State University. I am pursuing this degree on a pre-medical track with a Spanish minor. I hope to be accepted into medical school and eventually become a cardiologist one day. I am also a part time Nurse’s Aid at Altercare of Mentor. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio and I graduated from Lake Catholic High School. I enjoy reading and playing the guitar in my free time. I also enjoy running long distance. However, what I enjoy most is spending time with my family and my dog, Rocky.
