The Ohio State Chapter of Sigma Xi, the science and engineering research honor society, requests applications from graduate and undergraduate students for Grants-in-Aid of Research. Notice that our application deadline has moved to September 15, 2017. We moved the deadline to encourage students who apply for our local program to submit their work for the National GIAR program in October or March 2018. If an applicant indicates that they plan to submit to the National GIAR program, we will make a concerted effort to provide them feedback on their local proposal in time to revise (if necessary) for the national deadline. While our deadline for submission IS Sept. 15, those planning to submit to the national competition would be advised to submit their work a week or two ahead of the deadline to allow for a timely review.
