About Me

Hi my name is Jenna Siegel and I am an incoming freshman from New Jersey.  As an out of state student I am both nervous and excited to join a community as large as Ohio State this semester.  As the first day of school approaches, I look forward to meeting my fellow Scholars program students, specifically those who, like me, are in the ACES Program.  I hope that joining forces with other students of similar interests will expand the number of people I meet and allow me to make such a large school feel smaller.  This program is particularly interesting to me because it is optional and therefore all the students involved should have a strong interest in community/educational advocacy.

In high school I was part of a tomorrow’s teachers program which enabled me to shadow and teach in special education classes, specifically ABA autism classrooms.  I really enjoyed this as well as working with pre-schoolers in a hebrew school class at my synogogue.  I strive to be well organized, and juggled my after school activities, honors and AP classes, and a healthy social life.  In my spare time I enjoy exploring the trails in my town with my friends, shopping, reading, watching movies, and babysitting.

During my time at OSU I would love to gain more experience in a classroom setting which will set me u to achieve my end goal of becoming a special education teacher.  I am very excited about my journey as a student!!!
