Book Perspective

I took photos of the book from different angles on my spiral notebook and then translated it into my sketchpad. This book was given to me when I was around 13 and has remained in someway in my mind since then. Its  super easy read and very interesting!!

  1. Hi Shivali — nice work! It is great to see how the cover image also shifts as you change your perspective of the book, and how you inserted your hand into the drawing like Cauleen.

If you still have any questions about perspective since you completed this blog post/ our in-class work, let me know. It is easier to explain in conversation, but that being said, when in doubt always trust what you are seeing first! Then you can use the tools/ rule of perspective to guide the making of your drawing.

And thanks for the reading recommendation! I have not “Many Lives, Many Masters” – I will add it to my list!
