The background of the name is a dark city and full of sadness. Everyone in the city just repeats the same actions like robots does day by day.They knew when to start and when to finish. However, the boy in the movie found a machine named “The Lost Thing” like animals, which looks like a crab. This “Lost Thing” is noticed only by the boy, people on the street and even the boy’s parents didn’t care about it at all even though it had a big city and can easily catch other’s eyes since it was different from the outside world.

“The Lost Thing” played games with that boy, and watched TV with the boy’s family. At that night it even asked the boy to give it some food, just like a pet of the boy. While playing on the beach, walking on the street and watching TV,no one even asked to the boy about it. Even in his family, his parents didn’t care about him at all: his father was sleeping and his mother was reading Newspaper, they didn’t care about what their son brought back home.Although it’s a big and busy city, the boy is still alone and can’t feel the connection, relationships between people.What’s more people on the street only care about their own interests so they kept staring at their phone or sending emails. They have a strict rule of time so they destroyed the boy’ s ball “The Losting Thing” gave to the boy on the beach,and the city gave people a sense of depression.

However, when the worker in the office told the boy where to send “the lost thing” back, the boy realized that it could be a different world. In just few second, the boy saw a different world behind the grey wall. A lively world where these machines were playing with others, enjoying the world and  doing what they want.The atmosphere there was easy, happy and colorful thus shocked the boy. In just few seconds it made the boy unforgettable.
