I told you to use th still life self portrait (the group of objects you posted last week) for this assignment, but this version of a literal self portatit works well too! We won’t be talking about the figure probably until later in the semester because it is challenging, so I give you credit for making these drawings!
It is interesting to see how the two different lines techniques in each of the drawings makes a very different portrait and emotion. I wonder which one you think captures your likeness better?
A tip for making the images brighter: photograph your drawings in place with good lighting and natural light is probably best. Documenting the drawings is a difficult task!
I am sorry, I saw the “selfportrait” and did not look the whole assigment sheet carfully. I do think the second one looks better, but neither of them look like me. I was wondering that it could be the problem of me drawing with the panel slightly down on my leg, which might cause an angle shift.
