About SHARE

Welcome! We are SHARE – the Sexual Health and Reproductive Education organization at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Our purpose is to advocate for and promote comprehensive, inclusive, and evidence-based sexual health education for students in grades K-12, The Ohio State University, and the surrounding Columbus communities.

SHARE relies primarily on the National Sex Education Standards from The Future of Sex Education Initiative found at http://www.advocatesforyouth.org. Proper sexual health education is age-dependent, interdisciplinary, and includes topics such as healthy relationships, anatomy and physiology, puberty and adolescent sexual development, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation and identity, interpersonal violence, and sexual health.

We do not discriminate on the basis of age, ancestry, color, disability, gender identity or expression, genetic information, HIV/AIDS status, military status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, or any other bases under the law.
