About Me

My name is Faryaal Shamim and I am currently a first year student at The Ohio State University. In my four years here I plan to get a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and be on my way to become a full time elementary teacher. I live at home with my parents and two brothers in Hilliard, Ohio where I hope to also land a teaching job. At the moment I am a Sunday school teacher at my community mosque and also a private tutor for the neighborhood kids. My goals for these few years are mostly career oriented, including getting a high GPA in order to get into my major, finding some great internships, and of course, graduating with honors. I’m a really hard-worker when it comes to my education so I’m positive I can accomplish these goals, and any other ones I may develop, to the fullest. My friends and family are my biggest supporters when it comes to fulfilling my hopes and dreams so I’m forever thankful to them and any others that may find their way into my life.
