An ensemble-based interdisciplinary course which provides elementary and/or middle school children within the Greater Columbus Area who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with a series of interactive Shakespearean performance workshops. Students will receive training in the Hunter Heartbeat Method which uses Shakespeare text, themes, and storytelling.

Use of improvisational acting techniques to develop the performance of an outreach touring theatre production. Exact rehearsal times, School Tour performance dates and early morning call times to be announced. Casting and enrollment in Department of Theatre productions is by audition only. The InterACT Theatre Project for Social Change is a collaborative project co–sponsored by the Department of Theatre and the University Center for the Advancement of Teaching at The Ohio State University. The InterACT program is a novel and engaging way to help University community members talk about difficult or complex issues they face every day in a safe and controlled environment. These issues run the gamut from the experiences of student veterans, students in distress, diversity inclusion in the class to understanding the nuances of plagiarism amid the growing global community and the ramifications of the internet.
