Semester in Review: Autumn 2015

My first semester of college has been exciting and I would consider it successful. I feel that I had a very smooth transition from living life at home with my parents to living on my own in a residence hall. I haven’t felt homesick at any time and have been happy during my time here so far.

My first semester of classes have gone well. I didn’t start with a heavy load (no chemistry) and was able to get an idea of how much is required to do well in a college level class. I have done really well on all exams so far and I am poised to get A’s in all classes (hopefully).

I’ve been involved a little bit so far. My experiences with Biological Scholars has been very enjoyable and I had the opportunities to visit great places where I have learned a lot, such as hospitals, research labs, and even an aquarium. I participated in the Pre-Medicine club where I learned pertinent information regarding medical school and its application process. I have also spent some of my free time with the BuckeyeLAN club, which is a video game club here at OSU. Its always fun to play video games with other people with similar interests. I think I could have been more involved, however. Even though I have done some volunteer work, I could have probably done more. I plan to do more in the future.

Overall, this semester was successful. I feel as though I have my feet firmly planted on the ground and I am ready to take on any challenges that lay ahead.
