Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen. G.O.A.L.S.

  • Global Awareness: I plan to participate in the Latino Student Association and be involved in community outreach that benefits minority populations in Columbus such as interpreting and food bank projects. I also hope to study abroad for at least a semester as an undergrad student.
  • Original Inquiry: I am applying for a research position at the OsteoEngineering lab and will hopefully gain experience under a knowledgable professor in order to someday complete my own research and possibly a thesis before graduation.
  • Academic Enrichment: I will maintain a GPA above a 3.6 and choose a curriculum that is rigorous yet something that I can handle and am prepared for. I will challenge myself with honors courses and do my best.
  • Leadership Development:In the future, I will run for the E-board of the Latino Student Association to gain leadership experience in a club setting. Without any position, I will always strive to be a leader amongst my peers by setting good examples and holding myself to high standards.
  • Service Engagement: Similar to my global awareness goal, I will volunteer my time helping people in the Columbus area. I hope to volunteer at a medical clinic to help patients and increase my perspectives.
