Join Ohio State University Extension for this 2-day short course designed to address several factors associated with producing consistent, high quality, wholesome product at the farm, packing-plant and retail levels. This is a hands-on program that will enhance your understanding of quality attributes that affect consumer acceptability and ultimately consumer demand of small ruminant products. In order to showcase the versatility and variability of small ruminant production in Ohio, a number of different breeds and types of small ruminant animals will be utilized in this program. The cost to attend is $100 per person and registration is required. The program will be held on June 13-14, 2025 in the Animal Science Building on The Ohio State University campus at 2029 Fyffe Rd, Columbus, OH, 43210. The program will be held from 7am-4pm each day.
