About Me

My name is Andrew Sedmock and I am 18 years old. I grew up in Canton, Ohio with two loving parents, as well as an older brother and sister. I am also the proud uncle of three beautiful nieces. I enjoy sports in all shapes and forms and played golf, basketball, and baseball in high school. Throughout high school, sports served an important role in developing my character, as well as, world outlook and time management skills. Sports also allowed me to express myself in ways that only competition could foster. I began playing all sports at a young age and it took me all over Ohio and even into different states. I am also a proud Catholic and regularly attend mass with my family. I would describe myself as an understanding and hardworking individual, devoted to my friends, family, and schoolwork.

In regards to my education, I attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School and in addition to athletics, I was an active member of National Honor Society, Key Club, Pep Club, and Student Government. I was also honored to be the valedictorian of my graduating class. My graduating class consisted of 70 students and this small school atmosphere allowed me to create lasting friendships with nearly every member of my class. At St. Thomas Aquinas, I was able to immerse myself in numerous AP and college credit classes that prepared me for my transition to Ohio State.

Throughout my life I have been exposed to the world of business from both of my parents, who are in the field themselves. For this reason I not only developed an aptitude for understanding the inner workings of business, but a love for the field. For this reason I was drawn to the Fisher College of Business and a Finance major. I was delighted that Ohio State fit my needs as a school, as I grew up a passionate fan of the school’s sports teams. So much so that at an early age I knew Ohio State and the city of Columbus was the right place for me. As I move forward at The Ohio State University, I look forward to growing as a student and person as I prepare myself to not only start a career, but make a difference.
