Hello everyone!  My name is Alexander Secrest, but people call me “A.C.” for short.  I am a first year student at The Ohio State University, and I am currently pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering.  Ohio State has always been my first choice to continue my academic career ever since I was a little boy in a small town in North Carolina called Wilson.  Although I was born and raised hundreds of miles away in Wilson, the state of Ohio has always been where my heart lies.  Most of my family is from Ohio including my dad who was a member of the Ohio State marching band.  Other than being passionate about Ohio State, I also developed a great passion for sports.  Whether it is playing or watching football, basketball, baseball, and any other sport, I am totally engaged.  In addition to athletics, I also developed an interest in many academic fields such as science and math.  As a result, I had a great aptitude for these fields throughout high school which encouraged me to pursue a career in engineering.  So, I believed that the best place for me to do that was the distinguished Ohio State University.  Additionally, after the past couple of weeks on campus, I have already begun to realize that The Ohio State University is the best place for me and will launch my future to new heights that I could not have even imagined.
