As of Feb 15, 2023, the All of Us research program includes 409,420+ participants’ EHR, survey, and physical measurement data. 312,940+ participants have at least one type of genomics data. (https://databrowser.researchallofus.org/)

Short Description

The National Institutes of Health’s All of Us Research Program is building one of the largest biomedical data resources of its kind. The All of Us Research Hub stores health data from a diverse group of participants from across the United States. All of Us participants contribute to the program in many ways, such as by responding to surveys, sharing electronic health records, and providing biosamples. The All of Us Data and Research Center curates and validates data derived from these sources. All direct identifiers are removed before the data are made available for research.

Strengths

One of the largest nationwide resources; a diverse group of participants from across the United States; De-identified and validated data ready for research purposes; Cloud-based platform for data analysis and collaboration; $300 initial credits for any researcher.

Limitations

The All of Us requires authorized users to conduct research that follows and conforms to all data use policies, which include Data User Code of Conduct, Data and Dissemination Policy, Publication and Presentation Policy, Stigmatizing Research Policy, Ethical Conduct of Research Policy, User Appeals Policy, Data Access Framework and Egress Alert Policy.
