Background
Mahmoud has been a biostatistician in the Center for Biostatistics at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center for over 10 years. He is a principal biostatistician with more than 90 publications through collaborations a wide range of investigators from the Department of Thoracic Surgery, The Department of Anesthesiology, The Division of General and Gastrointestinal Surgery, The Biostatistics Resource at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (BRANCH), The Comprehensive Transplant Center, The College of Pharmacy, The College of Public Health, and numerous others.
Mahmoud has worked on and published manuscripts using secondary data including data from the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI), National Cancer Database (NCDB), American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP), The Society of Thoracic Surgeons National Database (STS), and electronic medical records data from the OSUMC information warehouse.
