What game ideas that were considered?

  • Rock, Pokémon, Scissors
  • Flappy Bird
  • Pong

What criteria was used to evaluate our ideas?

We wanted to include all of the following aspects:

  • Include a TA
  • Track amount of wins
  • Start menu
  • Death counter/lives
  • Difficulty Setting (changing AI)

What was a potential audience for our game?

FEH Students, Anyone that can read and has time to kill, Pokémon Fans.
–   Our idea for the game is pretty simple and you can pick it up and put it down
whenever. So it can be played by anyone in their free time, and they won’t have
to put too much time into it.

What was our final game choice?

Rock, Pokémon, Scissors!

What were the game elements that we proposed to include?

  • Orthogonal movement
    –   move the character around the screen by updating the icons position with each
    click (just like the rectangle from the APP we did)
  • Arbitrary touch
    –   Depending on location of character, the user will be able to click somewhere on
    screen and the character will move in that direction
  • Random Generation 2
    –   As the game progresses, the “final boss” to battle in rock paper scissors
    becomes easier. This would be done by having a “wins” counter that would
    change the difficulty of the “final boss” based on how many wins you had. I.e.
    add/subtract 10/20/30/40 etc. From your “odds”
  • Advanced Graphics 2
    –   Use multiple shapes together to depict objects (cat pixel art)
