One person that stood out to me was Mary Anning. The fact that she found the fossils of dinosaurs is amazing. I had always thought that a man would have found these original fossils just because it was so long ago when women were not in science as much….. Well I guess she just found them but was not given credit for finding them or naming them so that is probably why I always thought a man found the first fossils of dinosaurs.

It was also interesting that there were about ten women scientists from England when there are so many more men at the time. Was this because it was not a woman’s place and frowned upon? Or was it because women really didn’t see an interest at the time……At the end of the presentation it was explained that the women that were involved in science were ones that were partnered with a man in some way.
