Year in Review

Just like everyone, my freshman year at Ohio State has had its ups and downs. Although Covid dampened some of my experiences, I tried to make the best of the situation and continue the way I want to live. I’ve met people that are only temporarily apart of my journey, but this semester I made it a priority to push myself to join student organizations on campus as well as find other opportunities to meet people.

Based on my experiences this year, I’ve learned to trust my gut and do what I want, not by what other people dictate. In the past, I’ve always feared being judged for things I say or do, and I think now I have more self-confidence than I did at any point in my life. Although I haven’t formed as many connections as I would’ve liked this year, I am still very optimistic for the next few years of school. I am currently involved with Best Food Forward and Mount, and with Covid restrictions loosening up, I believe it’ll be a lot easier to meet people and to form friendships in the coming years.
