Artifacts

artifact 1Music and Performing

Music and singing makes me so happy and relaxed. This is a medal I won singing at Disney World in the Epcot Park. I was involved in some sort of choir program for 7 years of my life, so it has provided a lot of really great memories for me. Performing has pushed me out of my comfort zone (in a good way!) and taught me how to express myself and become a little more comfortable with my abilities. I have met some of my best friends through my high school choir called East-side Voices, the top choir of the school. In order to make this group I had to work all of my high school career, and was an important lesson to me on determination and sticking with what I love until I reach my goals!

artifact 2Running/working out

If I had to pick one exercise that will actually get me motivated to stay fit it would definitely be running. I have always loved running, and have always liked to think I was good at it. I did cross country and track for about 4 years, then had to quit due to medical reasons. I was always afraid to get back into it once I had stopped, for I felt like I was always behind or ashamed of the progress I could have made if I wasn’t forced to quit. This first semester at Ohio State has really pushed me to be healthier, and I started working out again, including running! I’ve even pushed people in my hall to start working out regularly as well. It is my main stress relief, and I now run over 10 miles a week.

About Me

hes portfolio

Hello, my name is Morgan Schroeder and I’m currently a first-year at the Ohio State University! I plan on studying Materials Science and Engineering with a bio-materials focus, as well as a Bio-medical Engineering minor. I am a member of the Humanitarian Engineering Scholars group on campus. I really enjoy helping the community of Columbus through this group, as well as feeling connected with my school. In addition to school, I enjoy running very much and hope to keep my past cross-country roots strong through involving this passion in my everyday life. As well as exercise, music and singing are my passions. It is the easiest way for me to express myself and feel genuinely happy!
