1: Fairness: Treating all people the same according to notions of fairness and justice; not letting feelings bias decisions about others; giving everyone a fair chance.
2: Appreciation of Beauty & Excellence: Noticing and appreciating beauty, excellence, and/or skilled performance in various domains of life, from nature to art to mathematics to science to everyday experience.
3: Love: Valuing close relations with others, in particular those in which sharing & caring are reciprocated; being close to people.
4: Kindness: Doing favors and good deeds for others; helping them; taking care of them.
5: Curiosity: Taking an interest in ongoing experience for its own sake; finding subjects and topics fascinating; exploring and discovering.
I think that some of my top strengths accurately describe who I am, but there are a few at the bottom that were far too low on the list. For example, perseverance and self-regulation were both at the bottom of my list, but I don’t think that is an accurate depiction of me. They may not be my very top strengths but I have always been hard working in school and in track which I think demonstrate perseverance. My favorite strength is definitely love. I think that our relationships with other people, most notably with friends and family, are the most important thing we have in life. Love is valuing and honoring these relationships. There would be no joy in life without love. I appreciate beauty almost any time I’m outside, especially when I am running or in nature.
