Palliative and End of Life Care

Course Registration Information

Please be sure to check the Registrar’s website each semester to view important add, drop, and tuition & fees deadlines

Your individual plan of study can be found in Beacon.

Students will be able to access Beacon after they have accepted their offer of admission, paid the deposit, and matriculated as an active student.  This process can take several days after accepting the offer, so please allow some time before your login is active.

If you were admitted as a Graduate Intra-University Transfer, you will be unable to register for classes or access Beacon until you have been reactivated by the Graduate School. This process can take up to four weeks from the acceptance deadline. If you still cannot enroll after four weeks, please reach out to your Graduate Program Manager.


The program of study consists of 12 credit hours:

Nursing 5111- Introduction to Palliative Care

SOCWORK 5009- Family Caregiving: Contemporary Issues, Programs & Policies

BIOETHC 7010- End of Life Ethics

Nursing 7471- Pharmacologic and Non-pharmacologic Symptom Management for Palliative and End of Life Care
