One of the nice traditions of the University Libraries at The Ohio State University is the professorial lecture.
The professorial lecture provide an opportunity for the faculty recently promoted to the rank of full professor to speak on a topic of their choosing. Generally, the lectures are 2 hours in the afternoon with 30 minutes, mingling and eating refreshments, followed by 30-45 minute lecture with more mingling and eating refreshments at the end.
Having been recently promoted, my professorial lecture, entitled “A Scholar’s Dilemmas” is scheduled for Thursday March 20, 2014 from 2:30-4:00 on the 11th floor of the Thompson Library on The Ohio State University Campus.
However, for those not able to attend, I will be breaking down my lecture into a series of blog posts which will be published ( and tweeted) on this site approximately at the same I will be talking about them.
