My bible is something that signifies an extremely important aspect of my life which is my faith! I started going to my church in 6th grade and that’s when I began to become deeply rooted in my church community. Having this community provided my with constant love and support during some of the hardest times of my life. I found my love for serving others while going on mission trips with my church and being able to help those who needed it. Through my youth group, I was able to pursue my passion of performing/music by being a lead singer of the band! I was a part of the leadership team who helped plan events for the youth group and sought ways to connect everyone/make visitors feel more welcome. My faith makes up who I am as a person by it impacting my daily decisions and how I want to use my degree to serve others!
Artifact #2
My Buckeye necklace isn’t just something that brings good luck to the football games I go to, but is something that represents so much more! The necklace shows one of the best decisions in my life (choosing to go to OSU) and constantly reminds me of all the memories that I have made so far. The community that OSU has brought to me from bonding over the Buckeyes winning a game to my scholars floor watching the game together is amazing. The necklace represents how I take pride in my school spirit and try to be as involved as I can! It also shows me how being a Buckeye has forever impacted me as a person and has already helped to shape me. I have learned the value of motivation in school/social life and how leaning on a strong community isn’t a sign of weakness, but instead a valuable resource!
