AUDREY SAWYER
Associate Professor
PhD, The University of Texas-Austin
Audrey studies surface water-groundwater interactions across a range of settings from mountain streams to beaches. She enjoys thinking about hydrogeology, growing veggies, and getting outdoors with her family.
POSTDOCTORAL SCIENTISTS
DANIEL GONZALEZ DUQUE
PhD, Vanderbilt University
In his research, Daniel focuses on understanding the multiscale groundwater dynamics and their influence on solute and energy transport from mountains to local surface water-groundwater interactions through numerical simulations. Outside of research, Daniel enjoys hiking, reading, and traveling.
GRADUATE STUDENTS
MADISON SCHAEFER
BS, Purdue University
Maddy investigates how emerging contaminants are mobilized at the freshwater-saltwater interface of coastal aquifers through modeling. She loves trying new foods, making art, and riding roller coasters.
UNDERGRADUATES
KYLE SHOEN
Kyle’s research is focused on bar morphology and sediment texture in Arctic Rivers. Outside of research, Kyle enjoys traveling, playing volleyball, and being an aquarist.
