Built Environment

Solasta planners are placing an emphasis on creating more public spaces that are both practical and aesthetically pleasing.

By separating industrial zones from residential areas, planners have successfully worked to reduce noise pollution where people live. Suburban neighborhoods are not overpacked and have plentiful greenspace separating them. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of places for citizens to gather aside from parks and gardens. With a growing downtown community, planners will have the opportunity to make room for more unique public spaces, from entertainment venues to picnic areas. Aesthetics and public spaces are often threatened by the push for maximizing land value, which favors residential or commercial development over spaces for leisure activities. To combat this threat, Solasta planners will designate zones for more greenspace, create more variety in buildings, parks, and entertainment spaces, and ensure that downtown residential and commercial areas are not too densely packed.

Pictured above is a very densely packed district that planners would like to open up.
