The SURF awards support the training and development of exceptional Ohio State undergraduates by involving them in basic, clinical, and translational research during the summer. Faculty mentors guide students through a research project. Accepted applications must show the project’s relevance, feasibility, available funding, and how it will benefit the student’s success. Paul’s Thesis is centered on human monocyte polarization conditions for optimal neuroprotective and pro-regenerative phenotypes. Congrats Paul!

The Sas and Segal labs participated in the Brain injury awareness 5K! Both lab members Jack Finn and Jeff Atkinson took home some hardware by winning their respective age groups with Jack putting up the fastest 5K time overall!
