About Me

After waiting 17 years, my Mom and Aunt were finally able to have “college sweatshirt” pictures. I could not be more proud to represent OSU. (USC, my cousins, Katie and Tommy. John Jay, my brother, Zachary. OSU, me, Kayla.)

Hey! So obviously I am writing because I will be attending OSU this Autumn and I am also a member of the PSL Scholars. I grew up on Long Island and yes I go to the beach a lot. I realized when I asked a large group of people if they knew what a hard roll was and they looked at me like, “why would you want a roll to be hard?,” that not having NY food was going to be hard. Throughout high school I have been involved with Student Government, Honor Societies, a peer nomination organization called Natural Helpers, and my local Synagogue. Keeping organized and running events, as odd as it sounds, was my favorite thing to do. There was nothing more satisfying than seeing a new event take off and be successful. My high school was a little over five years old when I began 9th grade. This meant no traditions, not much school spirit and two very angry districts having to come together as one. It was hard to unite when we grew up in different towns. After getting involved with Student Government I realized what a struggle it really was to get people to go to different events. I had family and friends that lived in different states, I knew what high school was supposed to be like. I was determined to create that sense of pride within my school. With the help of teachers and administrators, Student Government for the class of 2015 was able to have the first “non-prom” dance, Homecoming Dance, Holiday Spirit Week, Color 5K, and a successful Spring Fest after not having one for over 4 years. This success throughout high school has motivated me to see how far I can take my skills in college. Maybe that is why I ended up at such a big university, I wanted that sense of pride and school spirit. I do not think any other university would have fit me better than THE Ohio State University. I plan to be involved in student activity organizations and continue to be a part of Student Government.

Go Buckeyes!
