OSU at 2023 SACNAS NDiSTEM Conference in Portland, Oregon
During the 2023 annual SACNAS conference in Portland, Oregon, the Ohio State SACNAS Chapter and the university’s STEM programs had a strong presence. Payton Compton, an undergraduate student majoring in Health Sciences was awarded “Outstanding Research Presentation” for her poster. Allison Chartrand, past SACNAS President and recent PhD graduate from the School of Earth Sciences, was also recognized for her oral presentation. More than 25 Ohio State students, faculty and staff attended this year’s conference in Portland, Oregon.

Our Chapter has won at least one award at every National Conference since it was founded in 2014, so thank you to Matt and Megan for helping us continue this streak!

OSU at 2020 SACNAS:
The Ohio State University students have been attending the National SACNAS Conference since 2014, and every single year they have been recognized. This year was no exception at 2020 SACNAS.
Our very own Xilal Y. Rima won Best Oral Presentation in Bioengineering and Chemistry!
Congratulations to Xilal and all our students who presented their research or a session. We are looking forward to congratulating our next winners at the 2021 SACNAS.

In October 2019 in Honolulu Hawai’i, The Ohio State SACNAS chapter was recognized by the national SACNAS organization as the recipient of the 2019 SACNAS Outstanding Professional Development Award. The award is given to a chapter that has built a supportive community among members, created leadership opportunities for members, and created strategizes for new officer development during the 2018-2019 academic year.
