G.O.A.L.S.

The Honors & Scholars G.O.A.L.S. is an outline of what characteristics an Honors & Scholars member should acquire to become successful in and out of the classroom. By being a member of the Honors & Scholars program, I have learned what skills I can contribute to the program and my future.

While being a member, I have applied the Honors & Scholars G.O.A.L.S., first, by giving time advice to a mentee as a mentor with Reclaiming Futures, which is an organization that focuses on the well-being and future of young people. Second, I have learned how to operate within a OSU lab. I want to work in a research lab where I can help professors and researchers accomplish their research goals. Third, throughout all of my classes, I have gained an appreciation for the class TAs because they have helped me comprehend the professors’s teachings. Therefore, I want to acquire the experience of being a teaching assistant. Currently I would like to become a chemistry lab TA where I can guide, inspect, and teach other students how to work within a lab. Fourth, I will lead my team to a national championship. I will strive to get better each day for my rowing team at OSU, so I can become a team leader. Fifth, I will serve the community. By continuing to be a volunteer at Grandview Hospital, I am serving and being engaged in my community.

This is how I am applying the Honors & Scholars G.O.A.L.S. in my life.
